North Bay YYB is serviced by a wonderfully efficient small airport with scheduled flights to Toronto & Sudbury. The airport is named after Jack Garland, a long-serving local member of parliament. Jack Garland Airport is currently populated by Air Canada Jazz, Bearskin Airlines, Voyageur Airlines and Sunwing in the winter. Ontario Northland (http://www.ontarionorthland.ca) offers the Northlander passenger train service between Cochrane & Toronto which conveniently passes through North Bay. There are passenger rail correspondance opportunities in Toronto, Washago & Cochrane some convenient more than others. The Northlander services this corridor six days a week except Saturday; something that is unique in more rural & remote passenger rail service. Expect slight delays with between North Bay & Toronto. The Northlander travels on Canadian National's track; which results in freight trains having the right of way. There is also a seasonal train between North Bay & Temagami known as the Dreamcatcher Express. The train station is located at 100 Station Road in North Bay.

From Toronto, take Highway 400 north to Barrie and then take the Highway 11 cutoff just north of the city. From Sudbury and the west, take Highway 17 east. From Ottawa simply follow Highway 17 west. From Timmins, take Highway 101 east to Matheson and then follow Highway 11 south. From Rouyn-Noranda , take Highway 101 south in Quebec which converts to Highway 63 in Ontario south.
